Amazon is temporarily extending its return window to accommodate for the COVID-19 pandemic. Most items purchased in the US or Canada between March 1st and April 30th can be returned until May 31st.
This return policy adjustment was announced in an Amazon blog post earlier today. The blog post also outlines Amazon’s increased capacity for grocery orders through Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market, the company’s use of disinfectant fog and masks in fulfillment centers, and increased pay for hourly employees.
Similar changes are taking effect in Italy, Spain, France, Turkey, and the Netherlands. Amazon customers in those countries can return items purchased from February 15th to April 30th until May 31st.
Hopefully, this extension will keep you out of your local UPS for a while. If you want to make a hands-off Amazon return, you could always drop off your item at an Amazon Locker.
